Peppoli was first presented with the 1985 vintage, and represents a wine which is a combination of complexity and structure but fruity and fragrant as well. This style of wine is made possible by a unique micro-climate. The vineyards are planted in a particularly favorable valley on soils rich in minerals, ideal for a Sangiovese which is vibrant and full of fruit. The Peppoli estate, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico production zone, extends over 250 acres, some 135 of which are planted to vineyards.
