KENDALL JACKSON PINOT NOIR

Kendall Jackson was founded in 1982 by Jess Jackson. He purchased an 80-acre pear and walnut orchard and planted his first Chardonnay grapes in Lake County. A family business, he set out to make a high-quality and affordable wine. In 1992, Kendall-Jackson's Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay becomes the #1 selling Chardonnay in America. From there, the family purchased more land and expanded their portfolio, growing more premium European grapes with the same philosophy.This fuller bodied Pinot Noir is a crowd pleaser. Notes of black cherries, cola, dark plums and cassis. Textural and supple on the palate, finishing with notes of cinnamon and vanilla. Pair this wine with baked chicken with a creamy sauce or grilled lamb or pork with fresh herbs. This wine can hold up to some more intense cheeses, so try it with a firm cheese like Morbier, a blue like gorgonzola or a Moliterno truffle cheese.
