Jim Bernau established Willamette Valley Vineyards in 1983. Having grown up in the area, he knew the young region was ripe for investment - that and his father was the lawyer that helped the first winery license get acquired from the state since prohibition about twenty years prior. Jim founded his winery on the principle of being a steward of the land, and aims to produce wines that are expressive of it. The Whole Cluster Pinot Noir is bright and refreshing with a ruby core of cherry and blackberry with cranberries and crushed carnations. The palate is juicy and soft with round tannins and fresh acidity.Enjoy this Pinot Noir with barbecued ribs or chicken tagine with grilled flatbread or creamy cheeses like savarin or brie.
